ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister Muhammad Jawad Sohrab Malik has held meeting with Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, the envoy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to Pakistan, in Islamabad to discuss enhancing bilateral collaboration between the two nations, local media reported on Friday.

During the talks, Jawad Sohrab Malik expressed gratitude for the Kingdom’s unwavering support for Pakistan. The two sides expressed a resolve to further strengthen bilateral relations between Islamabad and Riyadh. He also thanked the envoy for confirming that the deposit of the 2 billion dollars pledged by Saudi Arabia would take place within the next seven working days in the State Bank of Pakistan account.

The Saudi Ambassador emphasized his country’s commitment to building long-term and sustainable investment between the KSA and Pakistan. The envoy reiterated the Saudi Crown Prince’s promise to increase KSA’s investments in energy and IT sectors to 10 billion dollars within the next few years in Pakistan.
According to local television, the Saudi ambassador also expressed deep interest on behalf of his government in recruiting additional manpower from Pakistan during the present and upcoming year for various sectors of Saudi Arabia. He added that the Kingdom’s labor market is continuing to further expand, due to the launch of many mega projects as per Saudi Vision 2030.
Jawad Sohrab Malik said that Pakistan has a lot to offer in both the services and goods sectors. He lauded Saudi Arabia’s commitment to providing employment opportunities to Pakistani people in its upcoming development schemes.
During the meeting, they engaged in fruitful talks on the further strengthening of bilateral ties, business, and recruitment of more workforce from Pakistan.
