KSA to Host GCC Health Ministers Conference Next Saturday

RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) is all set to host the consultative meeting of the health ministers of the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) for the Arab States next Saturday.

The meeting, to be chaired by Minister of Health Oman Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti, aims to boost the ways of joint health cooperation and integration between the GCC nations in regional and international health and relevant fields of preventive healthcare.

Dignitaries would discuss coordinating joint efforts in the meeting in the health sector between the GCC states to address the challenges facing joint health security among these countries.

The ministers would also discuss means of boosting the participatory and complementary roles entertained by the states of the council in the health system in order to attain the desired targets in the fields of health and confront different emergency health crises.

In addition, the meeting will review developments of different health issues, including the aftermaths of the Sudanese crisis from the health and humanitarian perspective.

The consultative meeting symbolizes the orientations of the GCC states’ leaders, who aim to fulfill the aspirations and the desired goals of boosting health security in the countries of the region.
