RIYADH: The Speaker of Saudi Arabia’s Shoura Council, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Asheikh has held official talks with Wan Muhamad Noor Matha, the speaker of the Thai House of Representatives, during his tour to Bangkok, Arab media reported on Friday.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) during the discussions, Al-Asheikh highlighted growing Saudi-Thai ties and their development in diverse sectors, which is contributing to a strengthening of the ties between the two nations.

He noted the fruitful and continuous work witnessed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, citing the steady progress achieved under the Saudi Vision 2030’s targets and goals based on its three pillars: a vibrant society, a prosperous economy, and an ambitious nation.
The Thai speaker welcomed Al-Asheikh on the occasion of his tour to the south-east Asian nations, stressing the significance of strengthening ties, particularly parliamentary ones.
The two sides also discussed cooperation between the Thai House of Representatives and Shoura Council and the significance of activating the important role of parliamentary friendship groups.
