RIYADH: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan has said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), has provided over $1.3 billion in aid and help to the Caribbean nations, Arab media reported on Friday.
Prince Faisal bin Farhan made the statements during the 28th Ordinary Meeting of the ACS Ministerial Council in Guatemala, Saudi Gazette said.
He added that the Saudi Fund for Development acts as an essential part of the KSA’s expanding international partnerships and is presently working on many projects worth $240 million within the Caribbean nations.

“The Kingdom has been keen to extend the relations, friendship and cooperation to the Caribbean countries,” Prince Faisal added.
He said: “Reflecting our expanding ties with the region, the Association of Caribbean States also plays a significant role in further enhancing regional cooperation and advancing collective action on matters of mutual concerns such as climate change, trade, and sustainable development.”
The Foreign Minister said: “Our nations share the belief of securing security, peace, and stability in order to progress our efforts toward mutual prosperity and national development.”
The Minister reaffirmed the KSA’s promise to work with its global partners toward achieving sustainable development targets by 2030.
Prince Faisal bin Farhan called on the need to step up efforts to further enhance international food and energy security amid the present crisis and supply chain issues.
