RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and Egypt have discussed the current situation in Sudan, Arab media reported on Monday.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, Saudi’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan discussed the situation of the Africa country with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry during a telephonic conversation.

KSA-Egypt discuss Sudan
The two Foreign Ministers exchanges views over the current wave of violence in the African country. They also discussed the importance of halting escalation in Sudan.
KSA and Egypt stressed the need to return to the framework deal to ensure the stability of Sudan and security of its people.
The European Union’s (EU) envoy in Sudan has also been attacked in his home in Khartoum, a top EU official said on Monday.
Meanwhile, the White House said that there were no plans for US evacuation from the African country at the moment.
The Biden led administration’s national security spokesman John Kirby said, however, Washington should treat the situation in Sudan with seriousness. He said that all US officials in the country were accounted for and that they were shielding in place.
Earlier, the United Nations envoy to Sudan said that over 180 people were killed in fighting between personnel loyal to the African nation’s top two generals.
