KSA Crown Prince Hosts Reception for Dignitaries Hajj Participants

RIYADH: On behalf of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) King Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman on Thursday hosted a reception for heads of government, state officials, religious figures and other dignitaries who are performing this year’s Hajj.

At the start of the reception, at Mina Palace, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman shook hands with the presidents of Pakistan, Senegal, and Bangladesh, the king of Malaysia, the vice president of the Maldives, the prime ministers of Lebanon, Egypt, Somalia, Niger, and Palestine, and speakers of the parliaments of several Islamic nations, Arab news reported.

On the occasion, the Crown Prince delivered a speech, and said: “I am pleased, on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz to greet you, from the vicinity of the Grand Mosque, and to felicitate the Hajj pilgrims and the Islamic world on the blessed Eid Al-Adha.

“Since its foundation, Saudi Arabia has been blessed to serve the Two Holy Mosques and take care of them and has made this at the front of its interests. Saudi Arabia has made efforts and harnessed all abilities to provide the Hajj pilgrims with comfort.”

On the occasion, Tawfig Al-Rabiah, Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, said that the expansion of the Makkah Route Initiative covers 7 nations including Pakistan, Malaysia, Morocco, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Turkey and Cote d’Ivoire and this project benefited over 400,000 people this year.

President of the Islamic Cultural Association in Mauritania Sheikh Mohammed Al-Hafiz Al-Nahawi, also spoke on behalf of the Muslim World League and lauded the efforts of Saudi Arabia to manage and organize Hajj season and serve pilgrims through modernize services.

Mohammed Khalayleh, Jordanian minister of Awqaf appreciated the efforts made by the government of Saudi Arabia as per the directives of King Salman and the crown prince to serve hajj pilgrims.
