Moscow: The Kremlin on Friday rejected the rumors that a Russian investigation into a plane crash which killed Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin has been too slow, Western media reported.
Despite the Russian claims no update about the plane crash has been given so far.
West believes Kremlin behind plane crash
Western countries believed foul play behind the plane crash and pointed fingers at the Kremlin soon after the crash between Moscow and Saint Petersburg on August 23.
Russia in other plane accidents, such as an emergency landing in Siberia this week, promptly give possible causes.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov responding to a question regarding the slow probe at a briefing said “No, I do not think that.” He added that it is not a simple investigation or incident.
He went on to say the investigation is going on, and any assertion at this time would be premature.
Putin after the plane crash described Prigozhin as a man who had made serious mistakes in his life, but he achieved positive results.
Under Putin, Russia has a history of mysterious deaths of Kremlin opponents.
The White House also declared that Moscow was responsible for the death of Wagner group head Yevgeny Prigozhin.
