PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police has initiated an inquiry into the reported induction of an alleged Afghan national into the provincial police force.

The Internal Accountability of Enquiry Department within the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police has initiated an inquiry into the reported induction of an alleged Afghan national into the provincial police force.

The KP police officially confirmed on Thursday that the Internal Accountability of Enquiry Department within the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police was probing the alleged Afghan national induction into the force and has sought the record.

The KP police said that the records related to the alleged induction of an individual named Abn-e-Ameen, suspected to be of Afghan nationality, have been forwarded to the Internal Accountability Department for a thorough examination.

The inquiry launched following reports of the alleged Afghan national’s inclusion as a constable in the KP police force. Concerns were raised about his nationality and the acquisition of a Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) of Pakistan through potentially illegal means before his enrollment in the KP police.
