Governor Says China Window Bridging, Strengthening Pakistan-China Relations

PESHAWAR: The Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Haji Ghulam Ali has said that China-Pakistan time-tested friendship is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. He emphasized the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China, highlighting China’s consistent support during challenging times.

Speaking at an event organized by China Window, a Chinese cultural center in Peshawar, to celebrate China’s 74th Independence Day, Governor Ghulam Ali highlighted China’s consistent support during challenging times and expressed the profound bond between the two nations.

Governor Ghulam Ali commended the participation of the people of Peshawar in celebrating the happiness of their Chinese counterparts through China Window. He extended his gratitude to Chinese President Xi Jinping and his team for their contributions, particularly emphasizing the significance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in Pakistan’s economic development.

The governor firmly believed that CPEC would usher in a new era of prosperity for the people of Peshawar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He emphasized that CPEC not only promotes regional peace but also contributes significantly to job creation, with around 800,000 jobs expected to be generated.

CPEC a Symbol of Enduring Friendship Between Pakistan and China

Governor Ghulam Ali regarded CPEC as a symbol of the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China, expressing his warmest congratulations to the people of China on their National Day. He lauded China Window for becoming a hub of Chinese cultural activities in Peshawar over the years.

During the event, caretaker Provincial Information Minister Barrister Mian Feroz Jamal Shah Kaka Khel, Provincial Minister of Sports, Youth Affairs, Science, and Technology Najibullah Marwat, Iranian Consul General Ali Banafshakha, and MD Bank of Khyber Mohammad Ali Gulfraz all, in their speeches, praised the celebration of China’s National Day as a commendable initiative, strengthening the bonds of friendship between Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and China.

The event, attended by Director Information Mohammad Imran, President of Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Fawad Ishaq, President of Peshawar Press Club Arshad Aziz Malik, high-ranking officials, writers, poets, intellectuals, artists, and representatives of minority communities. A cake-cutting ceremony was also held in honor of China’s National Day.

Pakistan-China friendship, often described as “sweeter than honey, higher than the Himalayas, and deeper than the oceans,” continues to flourish, bringing the two nations closer together in shared celebrations and progress.
