PESHAWAR: Muzzamil Aslam, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Finance, underscores the importance of fostering Pakistan-China friendship during his visit to China Window, a Chinese cultural center in Peshawar.
Aslam highlights the significance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) for Pakistan’s economic development and pledges full support from the KP government for the success of CPEC’s second phase, emphasizing its potential to generate employment and prosperity.
He commends the inclusion of CPEC projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, noting the imminent benefits such as increased electricity supply from projects like the Suki Kinari hydel power project and revenue from Special Economic Zones.
Addressing financial concerns, Aslam dismisses notions of a financial crisis in KP, affirming federal support while advocating for increased provincial income, particularly from electricity profits.
Aslam also outlines Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s welfare initiatives, including timely payment of government employee salaries, and praises China Window as a symbol of Pakistan-China friendship that will strengthen ties between both nations, especially between China and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
