Kingdom Issued 4m Umrah Visas this Season

RIYADH: The Saudi government has issued about 4 million Umrah visas for pilgrims worldwide since the start of this year’s season.

According to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, it comes under the framework of the ministry’s efforts in partnership with several sectors in the Umrah and Hajj industries, to facilitate the arrival of Umrah pilgrims via online visa applications on the Nusuk platform and its website.

The purpose of this is to facilitate the arrival of Umrah pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and offer them high-quality services to peacefully perform the rituals and enrich their spiritual and cultural journey in accordance with the Saudi Vision 2023 programmes, reported Arab News.

Visitors and pilgrims from foreign countries can find information about applying for and obtaining visas at haj.gov.sa/ar/InternalPages/Umrah. They can select any package for Umrah and Hajj and pay online through the website, Nusuk (nusuk.sa). They can also apply at Maqam platforms following the link as Maqam.gds.haj.gov.sa.

Duration of Umrah visas extended

Muslims who have obtained tourism visas, personal visits, and other types of visas can perform Umrah and pray in the Rawdah by booking appointments through the platform of Nusuk. In addition, Saudi Arabia has also extended the duration of the Umrah visa from 30 to 90 days. They also allowed the pilgrims to enter the Kingdom through all sea, land, and air entry points. The Nusuk platform helps people in booking an appointment for the Umrah pilgrimage. They can visit the Prophet’s Mosque around the clock through easy online procedures, according to the officials.
