King Salman Relief Centre Launches NFIs & Winter Relief Project in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has launched a project to distribute 25,000 NFI kits and 25,000 winter relief kits weighing approximately 3,965 tons among flood-affected people across Pakistan. Around 350,000 individuals will benefit from this relief assistance.

Due to the critical situation after the floods and the dire need for relief goods, KSrelief took the initiative to provide 25,000 NFI kits and 25,000 winter relief kits. KSrelief has already distributed 10,000 NFI kits and 25,000 winter relief kits in the First & second phases of this project.

Each NFIs kit comprises two blankets, a Shelter Kit with plastic Matt, Kitchen Set with a jerry can, and antibiotic soaps. At the same time, the winter package includes two quilts, men’s and women’s shawls, ten pairs of socks for men, women, and children, two children caps, two children mufflers and sweaters, and four men’s and women’s warmers for needy families living in the affected and colder regions of Pakistan.

The third and fourth phase of the NFI project is under the distribution process and will be completed soon in all the affected areas of Punjab and Sindh.  

All these relief packages will be distributed in collaboration with National Disaster Management Authority with the help of registered NGOs (implementing partners) and local government.

This initiative is a part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian programs to help vulnerable Pakistani families, which are carried out through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center.
