King Salman Receives Amir of Kuwait, Discusses Bilateral Ties

RIYADH: The Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, on Tuesday received the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, at Araqa Palace and discussed the close fraternal relations between the two countries, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud was also present on the occasion.

King Salman warmly welcomed the Kuwaiti Delegation, while the Amir expressed his happiness at the meeting with the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques.

During the meeting they discussed the close fraternal relations between the two nations.

Minister of State and Cabinet Member Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz also attended the meeting.

Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah arrived in Riyadh on an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.

He was received by Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman at the airport. An official reception ceremony was also held at the Saudi Royal Court in Riyadh to welcome the Kuwaiti Amir.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs also posted a message on social media platform X welcoming the emir to Saudi Arabia.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) deputizing for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince awarded the King Abdulaziz Medal to the Amir of Kuwait, as a token of appreciation.

Sheikh Meshal became Amir of Kuwait in December after the death of his predecessor Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
