ISLAMABAD: The king of comedy, Ismail Tara passed away on Thursday after a long illness. He was under treatment in a private hospital in Karachi for three days and had been shifted on ventilator early in the morning after his health deteriorated.
Tara, was suffering with kidney diseases for long.
The Pakistani comedian Ismail Tara was a famous comedian who worked in film, drama, and theater industries and established himself as a successful actor of all genres.
Tara rose to fame with a Pakistan Television (PTV) comedy show “Fifty Fifty” in the decades of 70 and 80 and became a household name across the sub-continent.
