LONDON: The UK’s royal King Charles III has felicitated England’s women football team after their victory against Australia. The King shared a very meaningful post to congratulate the “mighty” Lionesses after they defeated the Australian side to reach the World Cup final.

He praised both sides for making the countries proud amid Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s current stunts and claims, apparently sending a message to his son with his choice of words.

In a message, the King said that his wife and he joined all their family in sending the mighty Lionesses their warmest congratulations on reaching the final of the World Cup, and in sharing their very best wishes for Sunday’s game.

Earlier, England defeated arch-rival Australia 3-1 in the second Sami final and makes a historic first-ever Women’s World Cup final, set to play in Sydney on Sunday. England will face Spain, who secured their own first-ever Women’s World Cup final spot by defeating Sweden 2-1 in Auckland on Tuesday.

Australia will play against Sweden in the battle for the third-fourth position on Saturday in Brisbane.
