Kim Inspects Solid-Fuel ICBM Launcher Facility

PYONGYANG: North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has visited a mobile launcher producing factory for intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) along with his daughter Ju-ae, state media reported on Friday.

According to the North’s official Korean Central News Kim inspected major transporter erector launchers (TELs) and military vehicles manufactured at the facility.

Kim during the visit praised the workers for exceeding the production target given by the party and spurring efforts to achieve a new goal for 2024.

He stressed the role and status of the factory in effort​s to achieve the task of boosting national defense capabilities.

Kim’s sister, Kim Yo-jong, and other major party officials accompanied the North Korean leader on the occasion.

Meanwhile, the US national security spokesperson John Kirby has said that North Korea recently provided ballistic missiles and launchers to Russia to be used in war against Ukraine.

He added the United States will raise the matter with the United Nations Security Council.

The Britain also condemned Russia’s decision to use North Korean ballistic missiles in recent attacks against Ukraine.

Despite the US allegations both Moscow and Pyongyang have denied the weapons supply deal.

UK’s Foreign Office spokesperson in a statement called upon North Korea to cease its arms supply to Russia.

Earlier, Kim Jong Un told his top military officers to use maximum force against South Korea and the United States if they initiate a military confrontation.
