Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Offers Opportunities for Turkish Investors: Ambassador

PESHAWAR: Turkish envoy to Pakistan Dr. Mehmet Pacaci has called on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Caretaker Minister for Industries and Commerce Adnan Jalil and discussed economic ties and matters of mutual interest between Pakistan and Turkey, local media reported on Thursday.

During the meeting, Adnan Jalil said that Islamabad and Ankara enjoy relations deeply rooted in religious and cultural backgrounds. He said that both nations have extended support to each other at the time of every challenge, hoping this bond will always remain intact. The provincial minister underlined the possibilities of investment in different sectors and said that KP province has a lot of attractions for investment in tourism, engineering, technical education, mineral, agriculture, hydel power, and other fields.

Turkish businessmen invited to make investments

He invited Turkish businessmen to invest in these sectors. Jalil, on behalf of the caretaker provincial government of KP, felicitated the Turkish envoy on the re-election of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

He also extended good wishes to the Turkish people. Speaking on the occasion, the Turkish envoy said that Turkey and Pakistan have been tied in the relations of brotherhood and cultural harmony.

He said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province offers opportunities for Turkish investors and he would make efforts to attract the businessmen of his country to invest in the province. Both sides also agreed to further consolidate bilateral trade and ties.
