Khyber Pakhtunkhwa IG FC Visits Family of Martyred SP, Pays Tribute

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s senior military officer, on the instruction of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, visited the families of martyred cop and paid tribute to his sacrifices rendered in the line of duty, the military said in a statement on Thursday. 

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that Major General Noor Wali Khan, Inspector General Frontier Corps, visited the residence of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police martyred SP (Superintendent of Police) Ijaz Khan, who was martyred in a gun battle with terrorists in the Katlang area of Mardan district. The IG FC visited the home of the martyr to pay homage to his sacrifice and offered Fateha on behalf of the Pak Army.

The martyred Ijaz Khan was a brave and patriotic police officer. He remained highly active against terrorists and sacrificed his life to eradicate the menace of terrorism from the beloved homeland, said the military’s media wing.

The ISPR said that the Pakistan Army will provide free education to the children of the martyred police officer. In addition, the IG FC presented a check of fifty lakh rupees to the family of the martyred officer on behalf of the Pakistan Army.

Later, the IG FC visited the Regional Police Office in Mardan and met with police officers and youth who participated in the operation against terrorists in the Katlang area on February 27, 2024.

He commended the police officers and youth, stating that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have been actively working alongside the Pakistan Army to eliminate terrorism for the past several years. The sacrifices of their officers and youth have established peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The unholy intentions of terrorists cannot shake the morale of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police.
