PESHAWAR: A government in Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has decided to extend its free solar systems programme to benefit 130,000 deserving families across the province.
The announcement was made by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur after launching the model design and online application for the solarization scheme. He said that an additional 30,000 families from merged districts will also be included in the project.
Gandapur highlighted that the solarization scheme will prioritize feeders with power losses, as well as backward and hot areas. The solar systems will be provided as a comprehensive package, including solar panels, wiring, panel stands, inverters, fans, and bulbs.
