PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government announced summer holidays for all government and private schools in the province due to severe heatwave conditions.

As per the notification issued by the Education Department, primary schools in the summer zone will have vacations from June 1 to August 31, while middle schools will observe holidays from June 15 to August 31.

Schools in the Winter Zone will have a later vacation period, from July 1 to July 31, considering the cooler climate in upper districts.

This adjusted schedule aims to provide a balanced vacation period aligned with local weather conditions.

Earlier, the Education Department of Punjab had announced summer vacations from June 1 to August 14 due to a severe heatwave. However, the schedule was revised, and both public and private schools will now start holidays from May 25, ending on August 14, with schools reopening on August 15.
