LOS ANGELES: Hollywood star Kevin Costner is back in the headlines over his post-divorce love life, with US media reporting the actor is both exploring fresh romances and reflecting on a long-standing crush on British actress Elizabeth Hurley.
According to RadarOnline.com, the 70-year-old Yellowstone star once had a “major thing” for Hurley in the late 1990s, when he was dating her roommate.
“Kevin always thought she was smoking hot,” an unnamed source told the outlet, adding that rumours circulated at the time about a possible fling, though neither party confirmed it.
The report suggested Costner has been “thinking back” to Hurley as he navigates life after his split from Christine Baumgartner.
The speculation comes as Life & Style reported that Costner has been considering A-list names as potential partners, citing his long friendship with Jennifer Aniston and possible links to Sandra Bullock, Reese Witherspoon and Angelina Jolie.
However, other outlets reported that Costner has already stepped back into dating. Us Weekly reported that the Oscar-winning actor has been “casually” seeing author Kelly Noonan Gores, the ex-wife of billionaire businessman Alec Gores, after being introduced by mutual friends.
The pair have reportedly spent time together in California and Colorado, though sources stressed the relationship “is not serious yet.”
Costner’s divorce from Baumgartner, his wife of nearly 20 years and the mother of his three teenage children, was finalised earlier this year after a high-profile legal battle.
He was ordered to pay more than $63,000 per month in child support, and the couple agreed to joint custody. Baumgartner has since become engaged to former neighbour Josh Connor.
Kelly Noonan Gores, who divorced Alec Gores in late 2024, has spoken openly about the heartbreak of her split on her Heal With Kelly podcast, describing it as “the hardest year” of her life despite maintaining deep respect for her former husband.
Costner, best known for Dances with Wolves and The Bodyguard, is currently focused on completing the third instalment of his ambitious Western epic Horizon: An American Saga, which he is directing, co-writing and starring in.
While speculation about Hurley remains rooted in past connections, reports indicate Costner is simultaneously looking forward – whether through casual dating or contemplating the prospect of another A-list partner.
