Ken Block: American Motorsport Legend Dies in Snowmobile Accident

ISLAMABAD/UTAH: Ken Block, a snowmobile enthusiast, and superstar in American motorsport, passed away in an accident at age 55. 

According to the local sheriff’s office, Block was riding a snowmobile up a steep hill in Wasatch County, Utah, when the machine overturned and fell on top of him.

In a tragic turn of events, the news of Ken Block’s death comes just a day after US actor Jeremy Renner sustained severe injuries while using a snow plow to clear snow outside his home in Nevada.

Ken Block’s career

Block was a competitive rally driver known for his appearances in Rally America and Global Rallycross series. However, he also became well-known for his YouTube “Gymkhana” video series, in which he performed risk-taking racing feats.

The 10-part series earned him nearly two million subscribers. In addition to his racing career, Block co-founded skate-wear clothing brand DC Shoes and is the owner of Hoonigan Industries. The company confirmed his passing in a statement on Instagram, calling him a “visionary, a pioneer, and an icon.” 

Block’s passing is a loss to the motorsport and entertainment communities, and he will be remembered as a talented and innovative figure.
