ISLAMABAD: Keema Pattice is a delightful snack, perfect for indulging over the weekend.

Ingredients:

  • 300 g minced mutton (cooked)
  • 1 ½ cups breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 small onions, chopped
  • 2 green chillies, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp cornflour
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp crushed garlic
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp coriander seed powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. In a pressure cooker, combine the minced mutton with oil, garlic, and turmeric. Cook for 3 to 4 whistles.
  2. Once cooked, transfer the mixture to a bowl and add the chopped onions, green chilies, and coriander leaves. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Next, incorporate the red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander seed powder, salt, and cornflour. Blend everything to form a soft dough.
  4. Shape the mixture into equal-sized patties (tikkis) and dip them in a bowl of beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat a tawa and add some oil. Place the prepared tikkis on it and shallow fry until they are golden brown and crispy. Serve hot and enjoy.
