ISLAMABAD: Keema Pattice is a delightful snack, perfect for indulging over the weekend.
Ingredients:
- 300 g minced mutton (cooked)
- 1 ½ cups breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs
- 3 small onions, chopped
- 2 green chillies, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp cornflour
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp crushed garlic
- ½ tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
- 1 tsp coriander seed powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil, for frying
Instructions
- In a pressure cooker, combine the minced mutton with oil, garlic, and turmeric. Cook for 3 to 4 whistles.
- Once cooked, transfer the mixture to a bowl and add the chopped onions, green chilies, and coriander leaves. Mix thoroughly.
- Next, incorporate the red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander seed powder, salt, and cornflour. Blend everything to form a soft dough.
- Shape the mixture into equal-sized patties (tikkis) and dip them in a bowl of beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat a tawa and add some oil. Place the prepared tikkis on it and shallow fry until they are golden brown and crispy. Serve hot and enjoy.
