Kazakhstan Ranks 13th At World Championship-2024

ZURICH, Switzerland: The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) has unveiled its latest power ranking of national teams subsequent to the conclusion of the World Championship-2024 in the elite division as reported by  Kazinform News Agency citing sports.kz.

As previously noted, the top three positions in the elite division were held by the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Sweden.

Meanwhile, Kazakhstan’s national team secured the 13th spot. The IIHF presented the Kazakh squad with a unique slogan: “No one will stop us at the Asian Games.”

France, Great Britain, and Poland were the only national teams ranked lower than Kazakhstan. Despite not advancing to the playoffs at the 2024 World Cup, Kazakhstan’s hockey players succeeded in retaining their position in the elite division.

The 2024 IIHF World Championship took place in the Czech Republic from May 10 to May 26, 2024. This two-week event, organized by the IIHF, was held in Prague and Ostrava.

The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, serves as the global governing body for ice hockey and boasts eighty-two member countries.
