ISLAMABAD: The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, Yerzhan Kistafin, has announced that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan is scheduled to make an official visit to Pakistan in the near future. The visit is anticipated to serve as a significant step in enhancing bilateral trade and economic relations between the two nations.

During an interaction with members of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin emphasized Kazakhstan’s keen interest in strengthening its trade ties with Pakistan. He highlighted the substantial potential for trade cooperation across various sectors.

In the previous year, a trade delegation from Kazakhstan had visited Pakistan, laying the foundation for productive exchanges. Ambassador Kistafin expressed optimism that the forthcoming visit by another Kazakh delegation would further facilitate and advance business relations between the two countries.

Collaboration Between Pakistan and Kazakhstan

Pakistan and Kazakhstan, with their complementary economies and diverse industries, possess opportunities for collaboration in numerous fields. These include construction, agriculture, energy, textiles, pharmaceuticals, food items, engineering equipment, machinery, banking, and finance. Ambassador Kistafin underscored the importance of exploring transportation links, such as road and railway connections, to bolster trade and economic interactions.

In response to these developments, the ICCI is actively planning a delegation to Kazakhstan. This initiative seeks to uncover new avenues for business partnerships and expand bilateral trade relations between Pakistan and Kazakhstan.
