ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan Yerzhan Kistafin called on Federal Minister for Commerce, Industries, Investments Dr. Gohar Ejaz on Thursday and discussed bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest.
The meeting, aimed at improving regional connectivity and enhancing bilateral trade, underlined the key role of trade and logistics in the relationship between the two nations.
During the meeting, the minister emphasized the inseparable link between trade and transport, saying that there is no trade without transport.
Dr. Gohar highlighted the significance of robust logistics in fostering trade relationships and facilitating the movement of goods between the two countries.
Kazakhstan’s trade minister visit
Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin conveyed his country’s commitment to strengthening economic relations and announced that Kazakhstan’s trade minister was looking forward to visit Pakistan next month.
The trip aims to explore opportunities for collaboration and further enhance bilateral trade between the two countries.
To promote cultural exchange and economic collaboration, the envoy announced plans for a fashion show in Almaty, Kazakhstan. He invited the Pakistani fashion industry to showcase their work at the event, fostering greater relations between the fashion communities of both nations.
The diplomat further proposed the organization of a single-country exhibition in March, providing a platform to showcase the diverse range of Pakistani products. This exhibition will serve as an opportunity to spotlight the rich cultural and economic contributions of Pakistan to the Kazakhstani audience, he said.
The discussions also included the deliberation of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two nations regarding digital marketing and e-commerce. Both sides acknowledged the transformative impact of digital technologies on modern trade and expressed the need to collaborate in this rapidly evolving landscape.
Dr. Gohar Ejaz reiterated the significance of trade and logistics in bilateral ties, saying that trade and logistics are key in the relationship between the two nations. He stressed on the commitment to creating an enabling environment for trade through strategic collaborations.
