CAIRO: In a recent meeting in Cairo, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Egypt, Kairat Lama Sharif, and Hossam Heiba, President of the General Authority for Investments and Free Economic Zones of Egypt (GAFI), discussed the future of bilateral trade and economic relations. The talks included a focus on the continued implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between NC JSC Kazakh Invest and GAFI on February 7, 2021.
During the meeting, the Kazakh diplomat extended an invitation to Hossam Heiba to participate in the upcoming Astana International Forum scheduled for June 13-14, 2024, in Kazakhstan. Hossam Heiba expressed his readiness to support the event by inviting prominent Egyptian companies to participate.
GAFI, as a state-run organization, plays a crucial role in attracting foreign direct investment to Egypt, promoting both foreign and domestic investment. The organization aims to maintain a business-friendly environment by providing simplified, standardized, and improved services, contributing to a favorable investment policy.
