LONDON: London was abuzz with royal charm as Princess of Wales Kate Middleton graced the Wimbledon final alongside her daughter Princess Charlotte, where she received a sweet and special gift from the newly crowned ladies champion, Barbora Krejcikova.

Middleton, accompanied by Princess Charlotte, captured hearts as she attended the prestigious tennis event, marking one of her few public appearances since revealing her ongoing cancer treatment earlier this year. The Duchess of Cambridge took to social media to share a touching moment from the tournament, expressing her joy at being back at Wimbledon.

Royal experts revealed that Krejcikova, who clinched the Wimbledon women’s title on Saturday with a hard-fought victory over Jasmine Paolini, presented Middleton with the tennis racket she used during the final. The gesture was warmly received by Middleton and her daughter, Princess Charlotte, who appeared delighted with the special gift.

“Princess Charlotte looks pretty happy with Barbora Krejcikova’s tennis racket, which the Wimbledon ladies champion gifted to the Princess of Wales,” shared royal expert Roya Nikkhah alongside a photo capturing the moment.

Krejcikova, hailing from the Czech Republic and seeded 31st, secured her second Grand Slam singles title after previously triumphing at the 2021 French Open. Her victory at the All England Club came in a challenging match where she defeated Paolini with a score of 6-2, 2-6, 6-4.

Middleton, dressed elegantly in a purple dress, also attended the Wimbledon Men’s final on Sunday, where she continued to charm the Centre Court crowd. Despite her ongoing health challenges, Middleton waved graciously to cheering fans as she took her seat, preparing to present the winner’s trophy following the showdown between Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz.
