MIRPUR: President of the Muslim Conference and former Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K), Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan, on Wednesday, said that Kashmiris in both regions of the state have great expectations from Thursday’s general elections in Pakistan.
During a meeting with a delegation of Mothers and Wives of Kashmiri martyrs in Mirpur on Wednesday, the ex-PM of Azad Jammu and Kashmir stated, “Kashmiris are optimistic that pro-Kashmir forces will emerge victorious in the elections, leading to the peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue through the implementation of UN resolutions.”
“We extend our salute to the mothers and wives of the brave Kashmiri martyrs who have sacrificed their lives in the ongoing struggle for Kashmir’s cause,” he added.
Sardar Attique Khan also condemned the relentless Indian atrocities in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K), asserting, “India will ultimately have to reverse its anti-Kashmir policies.”
