SRINAGAR: Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC) and across the world are observing India’s Independence Day today, as Black Day to protest against New Delhi’s illegal occupation of their motherland.
The APHC leaders, currently jailed in New Delhi’s Tihar Prison, have urged people of Kashmir to send a strong message to India that they strongly reject its occupation and demand their fundamental right to self-determination.
In their statements, the leaders of APHC have appealed world to pressure New Delhi to grant the people of Kashmir their right to self-determination.
The leaders also reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to take ongoing plebiscite demand to its logical conclusion. According to local media, Indian authorities have also tightened restrictions across Occupied Jammu and Kashmir on eve of India’s Independence Day.
