ISLAMABAD: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) on Tuesday expressed its concern over the beleaguered situation prevailing in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), regarding the deprivation of fundamental rights at the hands of Indian troops.
The APHC spokesman said in a statement that the people of the valley are living a hellish life under the shadow of a war, according to Kashmir Media Service.
He deplored the strangulation of freedom of expression, arbitrary arrests, house raids by Indian forces, paramilitary, SIA, and NIA, and denial of civil liberty at the hands of Indian troops.
The spokesperson said that the occupied valley had been swarmed by over 1 million Indian forces, converting it into a big hellish prison.
He said that the brave people of IIOJK, facing the wrath of the biggest military presence in the contemporary world, have repelled and thwarted all covert conspiracies, including so-called ‘Catch and Kill’ and ‘Operation All Out’ launched as a part of the genocide of the people of the territory.
Kashmiris’ Valor Appreciated
Lauding the valor and fortitude of the freedom-loving people of Kashmir, he said that the systematic atrocities inflicted on Kashmiris have yielded nothing to India but have strengthened the resistance movement against its illegal occupation.
The legitimate demand for the right to self-determination has become the voice of Kashmiris now, affirmed the spokesman.
He urged the United Nations (UN) to take serious cognizance of the Indian state terrorism and take appropriate steps to stop genocide and human rights abuses in the valley, which has been converted into a battleground by India.
