SRINAGAR: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader, Farida Bahenji, has called on the G-20 countries to boycott the upcoming meeting to be hosted by the Indian government in the internationally recognized disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

The meeting, set to take place in Srinagar, is a clear violation of the UN Charter and international law, according to Bahenji.

The APHC leader stated that the Modi regime wants to give an impression to the world through the meeting in Srinagar that the situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) is normal.

Indian designs behind G-20 meeting in Srinagar

She urged the G-20 countries to realize the nefarious intentions of the Indian government behind the meeting and not only boycott it but also hold New Delhi accountable for the grave violations of human rights by Indian troops in the occupied territory.

Bahenji expressed serious concern over the surge in the so-called cordon and search operations by the Indian troops in the occupied territory. She said the troops have created an atmosphere of fear in the entire territory in the name of so-called security measures.

The APHC leader urged the international community to take cognizance of the Indian brutalities on the Kashmiris and put pressure on India to give them their right to self-determination.

The disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir has been the subject of a bitter territorial dispute between India and Pakistan, and the region has been in turmoil for decades.

The call for a boycott of the G-20 meeting in Srinagar by Farida Bahenji is likely to further escalate tensions in the disputed region. The international community is closely watching the situation in IIOJK, and the call for a boycott by a prominent leader is likely to raise concerns over the situation in the region.
