MIRPUR: The Kashmir Freedom Movement (KFM) has expressed solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine on International Quds Day.
Afzal Ziai, a prominent Kashmir leader, stressed the symbolic significance of commemorating Palestine Solidarity Day as an international resistance against oppression, injustice perpetuated by Israel and illegal occupation.
In a statement to the media, on Friday, Ziai emphasized the deep resonance between the plight of the Palestinian people and the struggle of Kashmiris for self-determination and freedom.
He denounced the brutal occupation of Palestine, citing illegal settlements, land confiscations, and continuous human rights violations as reminders of the urgent need to address the root causes of international conflict and oppression.
Furthermore, Ziai called upon the global community to hold Israel accountable for its crimes against the people of Palestine, stressing the imperative for all countries to support the quest for freedom, equality and justice in Palestine.
As International Quds Day was observed, Ziai urged for a recommitment to the principles of resistance and solidarity, calling for unity against colonialism, imperialism and oppression in all its forms.
He stressed the need for the early liberation of both the illegally occupied Muslim homelands of Palestine and Occupied Jammu Kashmir state from Israeli and Indian control.
