KARACHI: Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman of AlKhidmat Foundation has vowed that an IT university would be established in Karachi to promote skilled-based education among youth if he is elected mayor of the district government.

He said this while addressing candidates who appeared in the ‘’Bano Qabil Programme’’ aptitude test, which Alkhidmat Foundation launched. He added that there are 49,000 public sector schools in Sindh while the budget was billions of Rupees; still, no educational development was made.

Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said the Alkhidmat had made history by launching this programme. He said that the test would provide a foundation for the youth of Karachi to excel more in the IT field, and the programme would help in enabling the students to be an asset not only to their families but to their city and country.

According to Alkhidmat, the social welfare wing of Jamat-e-Islami, a team of professionals offers freelancing, web development, application development, graphic designing, digital marketing, and Amazon Virtual Assistant courses under the ‘Bano Qabil Programme’ in collaboration with leading educational institutions.

Alkhidmat foundation will help those students in job haunts who will participate in four to six-month courses. Before taking this test, the students swore they would remain loyal to their country and its Islamic ideology. They would play a role in the country’s progress and development and stop any activity that can bring shame to their families or country.
