ISLAMABAD: Karachi police have claimed to have arrested seven street criminals from the city’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar.
SSP East Abdul Rahim Sheerazi said that police recovered weapons, mobile phones, drugs and snatched motorcycles from the arrested street criminals. The street criminals have been under police custody for further investigation.
Furthermore, this month two wanted street criminals were shot dead in an encounter in Karachi.
Police said the encounter occurred in Shah Latif Town of Karachi, where two wanted street criminals looted policemen in civil dress.
Seeing the police, the robbers opened fire and both were killed in retaliatory fire. According to the initial reports, the identity of the alleged dacoits could not be ascertained.
