Whilst Hindutva inspired extremists in India including their Godi media have turned their guns towards Canadian Prime Minister Justice Trudeau for unmasking their ugly face, the fact of the matter is that the statement made by the Canadian leader on the floor of the parliament about Indian involvement in the murder of Sikh leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar is substantive. The very confirmation by US Ambassador to Canada David Cohen that shared intelligence amongst Five Eyes Partners had informed Justice Trudeau about the involvement of Indian agents in the murder has further lent credibility to this assertion.
The statement by the US envoys indicates that not only Canada but also the US, Britain, Australia, and New Zealand- the other members of Five Eyes are fully cognizant of the whole plot behind the murder of the Sikh leader.
The reputation of the Five Eyes alliance is built on its remarkable track record of enhancing national security by pooling intelligence resources, expertise, and technology to combat global threats, including terrorism, espionage, and cyber-attacks. Over the years, the Five Eyes alliance has played a pivotal role in shaping the global intelligence landscape and has come to symbolize the importance of international collaboration in addressing complex security challenges. If the intelligence shared amongst these partners indeed implicates Indian agents, it suggests a level of credibility and substance. When there is so much certainty and clarity on the matter, then there is no reason not to act against the Indian leaders and RAW agents who have become a threat to global peace and security.
In this backdrop, the very call made by Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar for the formation of an international alliance to keep in check the Indian rough behavior carries weight and warrants careful and serious consideration. Addressing a news conference at the Pakistan Mission in New York, Prime Minister Kakar shared Pakistan’s own experiences as a victim of state-sponsored terrorism. India has remained involved in these incidents.
He emphasized that Pakistan had consistently provided evidence of India’s involvement in such activities at various global and multilateral forums. These revelations underline the urgency of holding India accountable for its actions, not only in the context of this particular incident but also as part of a broader pattern of behavior. The murder of the Sikh leader has also highlighted the extent to which India is persecuting its minority populations, including Christians, Sikhs, and Muslims. The Prime Minister’s call resonates with those who hold the belief that every nation, irrespective of its size or geopolitical standing, should not escape scrutiny when its actions are in conflict with the fundamental principles of justice and humanity.
Holding India accountable for its alleged involvement in the murder of the Sikh leader is not just about bilateral relations between India and Canada; it is about upholding international norms and ensuring that all nations are held to the same standards of behavior.

The international community holds a collective responsibility to rise above purely economic and political interests and to proactively address India’s concerning human rights record and transgressions. Turning a blind eye to these matters will only embolden it to continue its actions, potentially even on foreign soil. It is crucial for nations around the world to prioritize principles of justice, accountability, and the protection of human rights to ensure a safer and more just global landscape. In doing so, the world community can send a clear message that violations of human rights and transgressions will not be tolerated, regardless of where they occur. Whilst we are confident that the Sikh community will continue to forcefully raise their voice until they get justice, the time has come to try extremist Indian leaders and RAW agents for war crimes. The beginning should be made from nobody else but Modi- the Butcher of Gujarat.
