PESHAWAR: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government has introduced a linkage of civic services to polio vaccination certificates to boost vaccination rate.
According to local media, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa has initiated efforts to tie the provision of civic services to possessing a polio vaccination certificate, aiming to increase the vaccination ratio in the region. Recommendations in this regard would be forwarded to the central government, as announced during a meeting of the Provincial Task Force for Anti-Polio, chaired by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry.
Emphasising the significance of administering anti-polio shots to every child, the chief secretary stressed the need for comprehensive measures to eradicate poliomyelitis.
During the meeting, it was pointed up that action should be taken against individuals involved in wrong fingerprinting, and efforts should be made to improve the quality of anti-polio campaigns by identifying and rectifying shortcomings and deficiencies. Nadeem Aslam also emphasized discouraging denying polio vaccines to settle other demands.
