Karachi: K-Electric (KE) has announced the approval of a reduction of 5.13 rupees per unit in the monthly fuel charge adjustment (FCA) for its consumers, via a notification issued here by NEPRA on Thursday.
The notification further added that a request was put up by K-E TO NEPRA for a reduction of Rs 4.62 per unit. Consequently, the authority held a public hearing on FCA on October 25, 2022, where the mentioned FCA of RS 5.13 was approved.
Earlier, the August FCA was charged to consumers with a reduction of Rs 4.89 per unit, the notification said.
Accordingly, after the recent approval consumers will be charged 24 paise less FCA for September compared to August and this will be applicable for one month only.
The notification further added that the recent FCA will not apply to lifeline customers, domestic customers up to 300 units, agricultural customers, and electric vehicle charging stations.
