ISLAMABAD: On this momentous occasion of International Criminal Justice Day, the global community turns its attention to the distressing plight of those affected by the harrowing Indian state terrorism within the unlawfully occupied region of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to an insightful report by the Kashmir Media Service, the Indian armed forces, operating with utter impunity under the garb of draconian laws, persistently perpetrate severe human rights violations and shocking acts of war crimes, all in a deplorable bid to quash the resolute voices of Kashmiris and their rightful struggle for self-determination, according to state media.

The report unequivocally asserts that justice remains an elusive aspiration for the victims who have suffered immensely, bearing witness to the chilling mass killings such as the heart-wrenching Gaw Kadal, Kupwara, Handwara, Sopore, and Bijbehara massacres, as well as numerous other cases of grave human rights abuses committed by the Indian troops within this illegally occupied territory.

International Criminal Justice Day serves as a poignant reminder to draw attention to the countless instances of human rights abuses and the crucial role played by the International Criminal Court (ICC) in delivering justice to those victimized by gross injustices, encompassing the egregious offences of war crimes, genocide, terrorism, and beyond.
