ISLAMABAD: A bitter exchange of words took place between Justice Mazahar Naqvi and Advocate General Islamabad Jahangir Jadoon during the hearing of a case in the Supreme Court on Wednesday.
A case related to a car accident in the Islamabad area was heard in the Supreme Court, in which Justice Mazahar inquired whether the judge, in this case, can give a comprehensive decision on various types of applications. On this, Advocate General Islamabad Jahangir Jadoon said that if the judge has issued an order, a comprehensive decision can be given.

Justice Mazahar Naqvi expressed indignation at the Advocate General’s answer and said, “Is this the standard of your ability?” You don’t know the law whether there could have been a decision in this case or not. In the anger of Justice Mazahar, the Advocate General said: ‘’You are mocking me, I am Advocate General Islamabad, I am not a lawyer for anyone, I am assisting the court, you cannot mock me, what is the qualification of the judge who gave the decision.? Will you give a decision against the judge who gave the decision?’’
On the bitter exchange between Justice Mazahar and Advocate General, Justice Ijaz said that we all learn from each other. Later, the Supreme Court sent the car accident case back to the trial court. In this case, the trial court sentenced the accused to one-year imprisonment, which he challenged.
