Journalist Shakil Shaikh Defends PCB Chairman Against ‘Trolls’

ISLAMABAD: Journalist and member of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shakil Shaikh, in a series of tweets, drew a comparison between the PCB chairmanships of Najam Sethi and Ramiz Raja.

Shaikh called out whom he called fake trolls for trending a fake table between the expenses of current PCB chairman Najam Sethi in his previous five-year tenure between 2013-2017 and Ramiz Raja between 2021-2022.

Shaikh lauded Sethi’s performance as Pakistan Cricket Board chairman, saying that “he brought PSL, Sri Lanka, International 11, West Indies, etc. to Pakistan.” Time. He added that during Sethi’s chairmanship, the Pakistan team made it to the top of Test and One Day International (ODI) rankings and also won the Champions Trophy in 2017.

He said that, on the other hand, during Ramiz Raja’s chairmanship, Pakistan lost four Test matches in a row first time ever in a home series since 1959.

He further said that there was no comparison between “the outstanding job done by Najam Sethi” and the “miserable failures of Mani and Ramiz.”
