Beirut: Reporters Without Borders (RSF) announced on Sunday that Reuters journalist Issam Abdullah was killed in a targeted strike by the Israeli military. The RSF citied ballistic analysis and said that the reporter was intentionally killed by Israel.

RSF shared on Sunday the initial findings of its probe into the killing of Issam Abdullah on the Lebanese-Israeli border on Oct 13th on its website.
It added that on the day of the assault at about 6 p.m., two attacks took place about 30 seconds apart in the area, where 7 journalists including Issam Abdullah were located.
In the first strike, Abdullah was killed and another journalist was injured, while in the second assault, a vehicle belonging to Al Jazeera exploded and many media persons were wounded, the statement maintained.

The ballistic analysis showed that the shots came from the Israeli border, from the east of the area where the journalists and vehicles were attacked.
“The fact that there were two strikes coming from the same direction to the same location in such a short time clearly suggests that there was intentionally targeting,” it further said.
