Jordan’s Interior Minister emphasized the significance of directing Norwegian governmental and non-governmental institutions to support Jordan in meeting the growing needs of Syrian refugees in camps and host communities.
The minister said that they will work hard to offer education, security, health care, and a dignified living for Syrian refugees in the absence of a political settlement in Syria that stops the “humanitarian disaster” and restores its stability and security.
The minister also welcomed Norwegian investors to visit Jordan and see in person the attractive environment and government special incentives provided under Jordan’s 10-year economic reform program.
Norway Justice Minister Emilie Enger said that her country is keen to further expand bilateral ties with Jordan, congratulating the Kingdom’s political and economic changes and its willingness to shoulder the costs of hosting refugees in the face of current economic challenges.
