AMMAN: Jordan has denounced the latest Israeli assaults on civilians, targeting a residential compound in Beit Lahia, north of Gaza, describing it as a “new massacre carried out by the Israeli occupation forces.”

Earlier, local media reported that two Israeli strikes on Tuesday killed around 88 people, over half of whom were children and women.

“This assault resulted in the deaths and injuries of hundreds, with many people still missing under the debris, constituting a blatant violation of global law and a systematic disregard for the lives of Palestinian people amid a complete absence of global accountability for the war crimes carried out against them,” Jordanian news agency Petra reported, citing Jordan’s foreign affairs ministry.
