ISLAMABAD: The Jammu and Kashmir National Front (JKNF) paid heartfelt tributes to Shaheed Burhan Muzaffar Wani, affirming its unwavering commitment to carry forward the martyrs’ mission despite challenges.
In a statement released on Saturday, JKNF spokesman Muhammad Haseeb Wani praised Burhan Wani’s supreme sacrifice, describing him as a courageous symbol of resistance who revitalized the Kashmiri movement.
Haseeb Wani said that the Kashmiri people remain steadfast in their determination to continue the mission of Shaheed Burhan Wani and other martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the noble cause of freedom.
Acknowledging the immense sacrifices of the Kashmiri nation, he underscored that their resilience and belief in achieving their goals had rendered large military and paramilitary deployments in Kashmir ineffective.
The spokesman urged Kashmiris to commemorate Shaheed Wani’s martyrdom anniversary with traditional fervor, emphasizing that vibrant nations always honor the bravery and sacrifice of those who strive for a better future.
Highlighting the urgency of resolving the Kashmir dispute, Wani urged the international community to recognize that lasting peace in the region hinges on addressing the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
He criticized Indian authorities for persisting with ineffective tactics and stressed that Kashmir remains an internationally recognized disputed territory requiring resolution in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions.
Calling on the Indian government to abandon its stubborn stance on Kashmir, the spokesman urged a reassessment of policies to create conducive conditions for meaningful dialogue and a definitive resolution of the longstanding dispute.
