WASHINGTON: The US-based acting central chairman of the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (Yasin Malik group), Raja Muzaffar, on Wednesday expressed optimism about the decision to transfer Yasin Malik to AIIMS Hospital in New Delhi for treatment.
He expressed hope that Yasin Malik, who symbolizes the political freedom struggle in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), will be acquitted by the Indian Supreme Court soon.
The pro-freedom Kashmiri leader and chairman of his own faction of the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front, Yasin Malik, who is serving a life sentence in Delhi’s Tihar Jail, has been shifted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi for treatment on a court order, according to media reports.

Raja Muzaffar said that a six-page handwritten letter by Yasin Malik had drawn the apex court’s attention to his deteriorating health and the lack of proper medical treatment for him.
