JazzCash, Directorate National Savings Sign MoU to Provide Payment Solutions for 4M Pakistanis

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s leading Fintech JazzCash, and Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS), Pakistan’s largest investment and financial institution, signed a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) for disbursement and collection solutions here on Wednesday.

According to a press release, the partnership would make it possible to ease payment solutions for more than four million people in the country, including widows and senior citizens, under the domain of digital financial inclusion.

Accordingly, JazzCash users would be able to collect profits in their mobile wallets and buy national saving certificates digitally through the JazzCash Application.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Head of the JazzCash, Murtaza Ali, said that collaboration with CDNS was a demonstration of their commitment to advancing the lives and livelihood of users through technology.

He added that the partnership would be a key in highlighting how digital solutions help in saving cost and time while providing convenience to the end user.

Director General CDNS Hamid Raza Khalid in his remarks said that they are very much excited to have a partnership with JazzCash, which is the biggest digital wallet app in the country and it would also enable CDNS to achieve its vision of financial inclusion.

He added that his department was fully committed to transforming itself into a vibrant and digitally unified entity to serve millions of the citizens of this country.

It is worth noting that National Savings is the largest investment and financial institution in Pakistan with a range of over Rs3.4 trillion and over 4 million valued investors are being served through a huge network of 376 branches countrywide controlled by 12 Regional Directorates of National Savings (RDNS) in different locations.
