On Monday, it was revealed that Jason Greenblatt, a former US special envoy to Israel and the Arab world under Donald Trump’s administration, had joined the think tank Jerusalem Centre for Public Affairs as senior director for Arab-Israel relations.

The Abraham Accords peace agreement between Israel and the UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan was mediated by Greenblatt, a well-known diplomat in the US and the Middle East.

Dan Diker, president of the JCPA, declared that he was “honoured” to welcome Greenblatt to the group.

“Jason brings with him a wealth of experience and close relationships with Arab states across the region, including some without normalisation agreements with Israel,” the official said.

Greenblatt also tweeted that he was “proud” to be joining.
