ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Capital Territory administration on Monday announced to celebrate Jashan-e-Baharan (spring festival) in the capital from 8 March to 12.
The week-long celebration activities would include the Classic auto show, Cycling race, Mazahiya Mushaira (comic poetry), rally, and women’s day celebration in different venues in Islamabad.
The women’s sports gala will be held on 8 March at Multipurpose Ground F-6, featuring Lawn Tennis, Basketball, and seven-a-side Football tournaments to celebrate International Women’s Day.
Festival includes various shows
Classic car show to be organized on 11 March (3:00 pm) at F-9 Park, where people would get the opportunity to witness a number of vintage luxury cars, including classical, modified cars, and sports, while bikes show and carnival rides for families would also be arranged.
The Mazahiya Mushaira will be held on 12 March at Citizen Club Capital Development Authority, F-9 Park, which will feature prominent poets Salman Gillani and Anwar Masood.
Cycling rallies and races would also be organized on 12 March, which would tally at a distance of eight kilometers. The eager participants can register themselves till 8:00 am. The race would commence at 9:00 am from the Pak-China Friendship center.
