Japan, UAE Vow to Enhance Cooperation in Diverse Fields

TOKYO: United Arab Emirates (UAE) Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan paid a courtesy call to Japan’s Prime Minister Kishida Fumio on Friday and hoped to enhance bilateral relations with Japan.

Japanese Prime Minister said that he was looking forward to working closely with the United Arab Emirates, according to the foreign ministry. UAE PM Sheikh Abdullah said that his country attaches high importance to the rule of law and wants to work together with Tokyo on diverse matters, including cooperation in the UNSC.

PM Kishida said he was delighted to meet Sheikh Abdullah for the first time in 6 years. He said that Tokyo would like to further enhance cooperation with the UAE in different sectors as per the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Initiative.
